Complete Set of Franklin McMahon Plates for Continental Bank with Chicago Landmarks

A complete set of collector plates from the Chicago Collection produced by Continental Bank in the 1970s & 1980s.  They feature the art of Franklin McMahon. The plates show scenes from the City of Chicago. Two were released each year from 1972 to 1981. 1972:  “Chicago Water Tower” & “Sailboats and Skyscrapers ” 1973: "Sunday at the Lincoln Park Zoo" & "The Wrigley Building on Michigan Avenue" 1974: "A Chicago Summer Evening" & "Chicago's Lakefront in Winter" 1975: "Chicago, City of Parades" & "Chicago Civic Center at Christmas" 1976: "Michigan Avenue at the Art Institute" & "The Farm, Lincoln Park Zoo" 1977: "Chicago's Buckingham Fountain" & "Chicago's 'China Town'" 1978: "Rush Hour in Chicago's Loop" & "Great Lakes Traffic on the Chicago River" 1979: "Museum of Science & Industry" & " Garfield Park Conservatory" 1980: "Chicago, City of Neighborhoods" & "Chicago's Field Museum of Natural History” 1981: “LaSalle Street Canyon” & “Chicago’s Outer Drive” The plates are all in excellent condition.  They were released in sets of 2 plates each year.  Original boxes with some of the plates.

This is a great gift for someone that's from Chicago.  I've seen them placed in a floating frame and hung as art.  It's rare to find a complete set.
